As someone who went to camp and loves the outdoors, I was extremely excited when I was told I'd be the design lead on our summer camp premium! Camp is a fun, messy experience and I knew the branding would have to reflect that. So I used this project as an opportunity to use a lot of textures: scanned-in bits of nature, charcoal, and ripped paper. I used the ripped paper to develop a loose typeface, "Outdoor Type", that I used throughout the project. The scanned-in nature bits I used primarily in a zine that was "made" by the "campers" in the story (but, between you and me, those kids don't exist and I actually did the art for that.)
